KENYA COASTAL LINE
The Kenyan Coast extends from Kiwayu in the North and includes Island of Lamu, Malindi, Town, Mombasa Islands; Diani beach, and the archipelago Islands of Wasini and Kisite near the Kenya Tanzania boarder. The idyllic white sandy beaches are fringed by coconut palms, lapped by the warm water of the Indian Ocean and safe guarded by Coral reefs.

KIWAYU ISLAND-LAMU
Kiwayu Island is 15 Minutes by air or 45 minutes by boat, North of Lamu and off the beaten tracks. Beaches are secluded and un-spoilt. Most sport water available.

LAMU ISLAND
Lamu is a town, Island and archipelago. Settlement dates back to 14th Century and with the donkeys, lack of cars, narrow streets and artisan way of life - you almost stop back in time. The friendly people, sandy beaches and marine sports make this a unique beach holiday.

MOMBASA
Mombasa is Kenya's second largest city and a major container port for the Great Lakes region. A blend of ancient and modern, the city and coast north and South offer everything a tourist could need. Shopping is a highlight with colorful local markets and bazaars. Fort Jesus, built by the Portuguese during their occupation in 1593, is the major attraction in Mombasa's old town. DIANI
Situated 40 kilometers south of Mombasa, and is Kenya's most popular Beach hosting excellent hotels and Marine sports center.

LUNATIC EXPRESS TRAIN-MOMBASA

By the late 1800s, the British Government wanted to open up the hinterlands to explore its economic potential, but the only way to reach the land-rocked area was to construct a railway line from Mombasa via Nairobi to Kisumu and into Uganda. This railway line (dubbed the Lunatic express) opened Kenya up for the world and still offers a fascinating mode of transport between Nairobi and the Kenyan Coastal town of Mombasa. the train operates Mon, Wed, Fri, in the evenings. We need to check for any changes

Price: 1st Class USD $50 per person, 2nd Class - USD $45 per person

This is a good Coastal extension for anybody finishing a safari on a Wednesday. You are dropped off at the Railway station for your check-in at 1700 HRS. Departure is at 1900HRS. It is an overnight journey through times as you go through Tsavo west, the man-eaters paradise and arrive Mombasa the following day at 0800HRS in the morning. You are then transferred to Jadini Beach Hotel (Diani) booked on half board basis.

Itinerary...

Day 1: Nairobi/Mombasa
We check in at the Railway Station in time for your overnight train to Mombasa at 1900HRS. Dinner is served in the main dinning berth from 2000Hrs. You have time to gaze outside just retiring to bed.

Day 2: Jadini Beach Hotel
Breakfast is served in the early morning just before you get to Mombasa. At the station, you are met and transferred to Jadini Beach Hotel booked on half board.

Day 3: Jadini Beach Hotel
Free at the Hotel on half board. Extra activities include scuba diving, snorkeling, beach volleyball, excursion to Mombasa and Wasini Islands.

Day 4: Jadini Beach Hotel
You have another full day at the Hotel.

Day 5: Nairobi : At 1700HRS, you are transferred to the Railway station to catch you train to Nairobi at 1900HRS arriving Nairobi the following day at 00830HRS approximately. See MAP OF KENYA
